Chief Financial Officer
Heather Alberts is Thuraya’s Chief Financial Officer, responsible for leading Thuraya’s financial management, accounting, planning and reporting functions. She is also responsible for maintaining and developing the company’s relationships with relevant financial institutions and strategic suppliers across the globe.
Heather has 15 years’ experience in accounting and finance in multiple industries including telecommunications, development, public accounting, and insurance. Prior to joining Thuraya in 2012, Heather was Chief Accounting Officer at Chartis Insurance (AIG), covering the Middle East and parts of Asia. She was also responsible for leading the corporate financial reporting department at TDIC, a key developer in the UAE and held several progressive accounting and financial management roles at Pulte Group in the United States. She began her career in the audit practice at Deloitte.
Heather graduated with highest honors from the University of North Dakota (USA) with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Finance. She has held an active U.S. CPA license since 2002.
